THE 8 LIMBS OF YOGA

The 8 traditional precepts of yoga: A practical and comprehensive program for living a peaceful and fulfilling life!

Patanjali's eight-fold path offers guidelines for a meaningful and purposeful life.  In Patanjali's Yoga Sutras (one of the main texts on yoga philosophy) the eightfold path is called ashtanga, which literally means "eight limbs" (ashta=eight, anga=limb). These eight steps basically act as guidelines on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. They serve as a prescription for moral and ethical conduct and self-discipline; they direct attention toward one's health; and they help us to acknowledge the spiritual aspects of our nature.

In our work together, however, we will be focussing primarily on the first four limbs. This study can be undertaken in separate coaching sessions or as part of the EmotionalMastery@Home or the Yoga@Home programs.

In all cases, it includes weekly study, feedback reports from your coach and personal development plans. The pace is set according to your progress and availability of time.

We will focus on each aspect of each of the fours limbs, with regard to all areas of your everyday life and habits - this is a very comprehensive program which may eventually develop into a way of life!
